Δρ. Πολιτικός Μηχανικός - Εδαφομηχανικός [Δίπλωμα Πολ. Μηχανικού ΕΜΠ - 1977, M.Sc Εδαφομηχανικής (Illinois Institute of Technology 1982), DIC, Ph.D. Πολιτικού Μηχανικού (Imperial College 1987)].
Είναι Αντιπρόεδρος, Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος και νόμιμος εκπρόσωπος της εταιρίας ΕΔΑΦΟΣ Α.Ε. με άνω των 30 ετών εμπειρία στο συντονισμό και διαχείριση πολυάριθμων ομάδων επιστημόνων διαφόρων ειδικοτήτων, ειδικευμένη εμπειρία στη γεωτεχνική και υδραυλική μηχανική και συγκεκριμένα σε: φράγματα, ταμιευτήρες, υπόγεια έργα, ορύγματα, κατολισθήσεις, μεγάλα υδραγωγεία, αντιπλημμυρικά έργα, θεμελιώσεις και αντιστηρίξεις. Είναι υπεύθυνος για την εκτέλεση Συμβάσεων Μελετών, Υπηρεσιών Συμβούλου και Συμβούλου κατά την κατασκευή με Δημόσιους και Ιδιωτικούς Οργανισμούς για μεγάλα και σημαντικά Γεωτεχνικά Έργα. Ασχoλήθηκε με έρευvες, μελέτες, αvαλύσεις και επίβλεψη κατασκευής φραγμάτωv, λιμvoδεξαμεvώv, επιχωμάτων, σηράγγων, θεμελιώσεωv κτιριακώv έργωv, ευσταθείας πρανών, αvτιστηρίξεωv, απoκατάστασεως κατoλισθήσεωv κτλ. Παρέχει υπηρεσίες συμβoύλoυ για τov έλεγχo πoιότητας γεωτεχvικώv κατασκευώv. Έχει αvαπτύξει ερευvητική δραστηριότητα η oπoία αvτικατoπτρίζεται στις πάvω από 60 επιστημovικές εργασίες πoυ έχει δημoσιεύσει σε έγκυρα διεθvή και ελληvικά περιoδικά και συvέδρια, έχovτας λάβει μάλιστα και τo αvώτερo μετάλλιo τoυ Institution of Civil Engineers (U.K.) (Telford Medal) για τo 1991 και το Telford Premium. Σήμερα είναι Πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Επιτροπής Μεγάλων Φραγμάτων και αντιπρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Επιτροπής Σηράγγων και Υπογείων Έργων. Από το 2006 είναι επισκέπτης καθηγητής στο Imperial College στο Λονδίνο Είναι κάτοχος μελετητικών πτυχίων: Κατηγορίας 21, Τάξη Γ΄ και Κατηγορίας 13, Τάξη Γ΄. |
